Students

PERSON. PLACE. PLAN.

The purpose of our Student Minisrty is to help students develop such passion for Jesus and compassion for others (Matthew 22:37-40), that they don’t graduate from their faith when they graduate from our ministry. Our strategy for fulfilling that purpose is to provide every middle and high school student in our ministry with a Person, Place, and Plan.

PERSON: our goal is to provide every student who enters our doors with a godly, caring, trained adult small group leader. These leaders serve as mentor-types figures, who are committed to pointing students towards Jesus. In addition, these leaders are secondary voices in the lives of students; reinforcing the words of a student’s primary influencers – the parents.

PLACE: our goal is to create places and spaces where students can be known and can know others in a safe, welcoming, fun and Godly environment. When these elements are present, a student can best receive the life-changing power of God’s Word.

PLAN: our goal is for students to have a clear presentation of the Gospel offered to them at an appropriate level of understanding. We fully believe that the truth of the Gospel is the hope of the world, and presenting that hope to students is the foundation of our ministry.

Student Programming

Each night begins with a fun, hang out time that includes recreation activities, table games, and snacks in our Café. As we transition into our Student Room, students are offered a worship experience that includes community-building games, worship songs lead by our student worship team, and a time of Biblical teaching. Following our teaching, we break students into grade/gender-specific small groups where they discuss the teaching and learn to apply it to their lives. Small Groups are lead by a minimum of two same-gender adult leaders, who have a passion for discipling and mentoring students. Students will not want to miss our worship programming nights.

Student Sunday School

The hope for our Sunday School program is for students to learn how to study the Bible themselves. In our Sunday School, we are unapologetic about helping students learn how to study and apply God’s Word to their lives. Classes are largely discussion-based, and facilitated by a master teacher each week. We invite middle and high schoolers to join us for breakfast, a wonderful community, and an insightful learning experience based on God’s Word.
