MIDDLE SCHOOL
Fall Kickoff
August 10 // 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM // Student Room
Our theme for this school year is, “A Place Where Everyone Belongs.” This theme reflects our student ministry’s heart to create a welcoming, authentic community where every student feels accepted and valued — regardless of their background, questions or beliefs.
While our foundation is built on a belief in Jesus and the truth of the gospel as taught in the Bible, we believe that you don’t have to believe like us to belong with us. We want every student to know they are welcome here, to explore faith at their own pace and to experience real relationships in a safe and supportive environment
Join us for an incredible night packed with free snacks, fun games, powerful worship and a Christ-centered message — all alongside dozens of your friends.
Frankie’s Fun Park
September 27 // 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
What better way to take a break from school than a day at Frankie’s Fun Park! Join us from 1-3 PM for an exciting time full of games, laughter and celebration as we say welcome the school year.
Serve Day
October 11
One of the discipleship rhythms at Mt. Horeb is to live on mission. We will explore this opportunity by serving on October 11. Details to come.
Rooted
October 17-18
The GMC of South Carolina’s Youth Collective will hold its student ministry conference, Rooted, on Friday October 17 and Saturday, October 18, 2025. This year, Rooted will be held at Covenant Church in Greer, SC.
The conference will feature a main speaker, breakout sessions, worship, resources and much more for both students and youth pastors, directors and volunteers.
Middle school will attend the conference on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
We will take several church vans of students to the conference. Registration will open soon, and spots will be limited.
Harvest Fest
November 15
Come enjoy an afternoon of fall fun with games, food and inflatables — all happening right here at the church.
Join us from 3:00 to 5:00 PM for festive games, fun activities and great company.
Christmas Costume Party
December 10
Join us for a Christmas themed costume party with cookie decorating, games and many more festive activities. Details to follow.

Senior Cookout
August 15 // 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Let’s start your last year of high school off with a bang! Join us on August 15 for night of fun as we celebrate your senior year with food, games, prizes, swimming and so much more. Join us from 6-8 PM.

Labor Day Bowling
August 31
Labor Day is right around the corner and that can mean only one thing… it’s time to bowl!
Join us after the 10:45 AM service on August 31, for lunch and bowling. We will eat lunch together then head over to Stars and Strikes in Irmo. The cost is $25 which will include your lunch and bowling. Invite a friend to join us!
Remember… we will not have Programming that night and we expect to wrap it up about 3 PM.
Serve Day
September 6
One of the discipleship rhythms at Mt. Horeb is to live on mission. Join us on September 6 at Wightman Methodist Church as we bring this rhythm to life by serving others!
We will work on a variety of projects that support the church’s needs and also gain insight into how they’re living out their mission to serve the local community.
The vans will leave the church bright and early by 8 AM. Make sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and register using the link below. Spots are limited.
Smores Competition
September 20
Join us for lots of marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers and hot chocolate as we celebrate the beginning of Fall.
Rooted
October 17-18

5th Quarter
October 31
Once again, Mt. Horeb students will sponsor 5th quarter on October 31 after the Lexington High School/River Bluff High School game. Stayed tuned for more details!
Senior Friendsgiving
November 15
Calling all SENIORS!!!
Why eat Thanksgiving food by yourself when you can eat it with your FRIENDS.
