PHOTOGRAPHER
The Photographer at Mt. Horeb Church plays a vital role in telling the story of God’s work through powerful, creative and compelling photography. This position is both a ministry and a mission; supporting the church’s vision by capturing and producing visuals that inspire, inform and invite people into a deeper relationship with Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meets regularly with Communications Team to gather ideas and concepts, consulting to enhance and tell compelling stories through photography and videography
- Plan, shoot and edit photography projects related to sermon series, promotional content and testimonials
- Schedule, capture and edit stories of Mt. Horeb and those impacted by the ministry of the church
- Capture and edit highlight photos of large-scale church events
- Ability to generate new ideas and oversee their implementation
- Create stories for social media
- Work closely with videographer and assist with videography when needed
- This position requires work on Sundays and some evenings
- Works Christmas Eve, Easter, VBS and other large-scale events as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Degree in photography, visual arts or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in a large church setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work positively in a team-based environment
- Understanding of and willingness to reach a high standard of excellence
- Ability to interpret and enhance others’ visions
- Proven expertise in photography software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects)
- Videography experience helpful
- Basic audio knowledge (synching of audio, EQ, compression) helpful
- Ability to manage/prioritize workload to meet varying timelines
- Ability to generate new ideas and oversee their implementation
This full-time position reports directly to the Communications Director.
