CONNECTIONS CHILDREN’S PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Elementary Children’s Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, preparation, organization and implementation of the Connections Children’s Program. This hands-on role involves volunteer recruitment and scheduling and attending weekly Connections meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend weekly Connections meetings on Tuesdays from 5:30-8:00 PM
- Plan and implement programming and/or other age-appropriate activities for children with the support of Children’s Program Volunteers
- Ensure proper staffing ratios of volunteers to children within the program
- Manage the onboarding, orientation and training of Connections Children’s Program Volunteers with the input of the Connections staff
- Communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, Connections staff and volunteers
- Help manage any conflicts that may occur and provide written reports on any incidents
- Provide a safe, secure and caring environment for youth participating in Connections
- Be self-motivated, self-directed, punctual and flexible
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must consent to and pass an FBI and/or state background check
- Must take and pass the Safe Sanctuary online Class
- Read, sign and follow childcare policies and procedures, code of conduct and confidentiality policies
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Must be self-motivated, self-directed, punctual and flexible
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate, patient, a sense of humor and enjoys children
- Agree to and sign the Mt. Horeb Leader Covenant and Core Values
PREFERRED
- At least 3 years of experience working directly with children
- Experience working with youth or families, preferably low-income or high risk
- Adult and child CPR and First Aid certifications
This part-time position (up to 6 hours per week) reports directly to the Connections Coach.
