Summer Backpack Ministry Food Drive | May 19
Each year, our congregation has the opportunity to help every family from our local school district struggling with food insecurity restock their pantries through our summer Backpack Ministry! During this break from our normal Backpack Ministry that runs throughout the school year, we partner with churches, businesses, and missions partners in Lexington to provide locally grown produce and meats as well as a variety of shelf-stable items.
With your help, Mt. Horeb will be able to provide all the shelf-stable items needed this summer! You can contribute by purchasing foods from the list below and donating them in one of the following ways:
- Sunday, May 19: Drop donations by the Missions Center or other designated areas on your way into church.
- Monday-Thursday, May 20-23: Drop items in the collection containers on the patio of the Missions Ministry Offices (brick house located beside the ballfield).
We can’t thank you enough for continuing to serve our neighbors so faithfully! To God be the glory!
