God in the Movies

Led by Trevor Miller

"God in the Movies" is a unique class that explores spiritual themes in popular films. Each session, we’ll watch clips from well-known movies and discuss how they reflect biblical truths about faith, redemption, sacrifice and hope. By engaging with stories on the big screen, we’ll uncover how God’s truth is woven into culture and how we can use movies as a tool for deeper spiritual reflection and meaningful conversations about faith.

Painting the 23rd Psalm

Led by Sheila Redford

This special class will give you the opportunity to turn painting and the creative arts into a devotional practice. Taught by a long-time artist, you will learn the basics of painting such as values, color theory and design as well as how our ability to create is born, ultimately, out of our Creator. In a world that is very dark and unstable, through painting and praying, we’ll encounter God in a new way. No previous art experience is necessary. Please note that this class requires a $20 payment directly to the teacher, in order for her to provide you with all the basic supplies you need. Information about how to make that payment will be available once you register.
