A Disciple of Jesus Lives Communally

At Mt. Horeb, we believe that disciples of Jesus live communally, choosing to do life together and grow deeper in faith. One of the best ways to do this is by being a part of an intentional, Jesus-centered small group community. Every January and August, we begin new small groups through our two-session small group launch process. Some groups have space to add new participants in between these times. If you are interested in joining a small group, please fill out the form below and one our adult discipleship team members will be in contact with you.

See below for frequently asked questions regarding Mt. Horeb Small Groups.

What is a small group?

A small group is a group of around 5-15 people who gather on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to fellowship, study scripture and pray for one another. Our hope is that these will be the people with whom you do life on a regular basis and grow deeper in faith.

When and where do small groups meet?

We have small groups that meet nearly every day of the week in the morning, afternoon and evening. Some of our groups meet on our campus, some meet in homes and some meet in restaurants or other locations in our community.

Is childcare provided for group meetings?

We offer kids programming on Sundays, 9:00-10:15 AM and 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM as well as Wednesdays, 6:15-7:30 PM. We encourage groups that have children to meet during one of these times on campus so that as you are growing in faith your children can be too!

How do you assemble the small groups?

Most of our small groups are based around a common stage of life—young adults, new parents, empty nesters, singles, older adults, etc. Some of our groups are based around a common interest, neighborhood or multigenerational men/women. When you fill out your form, we look at all of your information and place you where we think you’d fit best and thrive!

How do I join a small group?

New groups are assembled every January and August through our small group launch process where you’ll learn why we believe in doing community together and how we believe in doing community together. In between those times, some groups have room available to add new participants.

What other types of groups are offered?

In addition to small groups, we offer care groups and classes (i.e. DivorceCare®, GriefShare®, etc.), interest groups (i.e. Crafters, Cards & Games, etc.), bible studies and short-term midweek classes.
