Our team of custodians work to create a welcoming, clean, orderly and safe environment at Mt. Horeb Church by performing a wide variety of cleaning activities throughout the church campus. This position is responsible for the successful set up and breakdown for various ministry activities and functions in the church and on the church calendar. Assist with the facilities team members when available for certain housekeeping items as time allows when set up and breakdown is completed or not needed.

  • Assist with daily set up and breakdowns for ministries throughout the church
    • Set ups may include tables, chairs, furniture, and other items to carry out meetings or events
  • Work with the team in planning various set up and breakdown opportunities during the week
  • Remove trash in offices and hallways as needed
  • Handle emergency cleanups
  • Other tasks as assigned
    • Some weekend work may be needed in times when events are taking place on weekends


  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Able to complete duties independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work with others in a team environment

  • Able to organize tasks efficiently


  • Full Time (30hrs. per week with benefits)
  • Reports to Facilities Director
  • Located in Lexington, SC
