ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER
The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Financial Operations Director by assisting in managing daily operations of the finance department and ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the preparation of financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with annual budgeting.
- Review and accurately code all vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
- Oversee and manage the annual 1099 process.
- Prepare and submit tax reports and payments in compliance with state tax regulations.
- Serve as primary backup for accounts payable and payroll processing.
- Perform monthly credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records by ensuring all journal entries are properly documented and supported.
- Process transactions, including posting payments and generating invoices for M Kids Academy.
- Maintain the accuracy and consistency of the customer database for M Kids Academy
- Attends and participates in necessary financial, staff and department meetings.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable financial policies, GAAP standards and non-profit/church regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of information learned and used.
- Required working presence at Christmas Eve, VBS, Easter or other large church events as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proven ability to quickly master new accounting software and ERP systems to optimize workflow.
- High level of attention to detail
